Tyson T. Tamashiro practices in the areas of estate planning, trust and estate administration, probate and trust litigation, conservatorships, and guardianships.
Tyson graduated from Columbia University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature. He received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Hawaii, William S. Richardson School of Law, where he earned the CALI Award for Excellence in Real Estate Development & Finance, Civil Procedure II, Criminal Procedure, and Second Year Seminar. He was a member of the University of Hawaii Law Review and his Comment, published in the Law Review 2008 Winter Edition, received second place in the American Bar Association Section of Real Property, Trust and Estate Law, 2008 Law Student Writing Contest.
In law school, Tyson completed student volunteer clerkships at the Hawaii Supreme Court and the Hawaii Intermediate Court of Appeals, as well as an externship focusing on land use and real property law at the City and County of Honolulu Corporation Counsel. He began his legal career working in the area of civil litigation before transitioning to areas of estate planning, probate and trust administration and litigation, conservatorships, and guardianships.
Outside of work, Tyson enjoys spending time with his daughter, traveling, and golfing.
