Class overview
Foreign Language, and especially Spanish, is a wonderful connection to the world! It is also a great preparation for the college admission process and academic success, as well as for use in daily aspects of life in business and travel. We will explore exercises in vocabulary, grammar, speaking, listening, reading, writing, and culture of the Spanish language. Continuous participation and effort is imperative to learning a language! The 8th grade class will be introduced to the basics of Spanish along with some general information about foreign languages in general. Spanish I will learn basic vocabulary and begin verb conjugations. Spanish II will continue vocabulary and conjugations. Spanish III will continue with more vocabulary, conjugations, and literature. Spanish IV reviews all levels and puts the language to use through various projects and assignments. All classes will have the opportunity for special projects and presentations. Throughout each quarter and the year, the more effort you put into this learning process, the more success you will have at learning the language!
