Respect school policies and procedures. It is important to familiarise yourself with and follow the school's current rules, regulations, and visitor protocols. Doing so demonstrates respect for the institution.
Maintain appropriate behaviour. You should act as a positive role model for current students. It is essential to avoid using inappropriate language, wearing unsuitable attire, or displaying unprofessional conduct during your visit.
Prioritise student learning. Be mindful not to disrupt classes or school activities. You must not enter classrooms without obtaining permission from the school.
Protect student privacy. You should not take photographs or videos of students without explicit permission from the school administration as well as the students and their parents.
Avoid unsupervised interactions. Do not attempt to meet with or interact with students one-on-one without a school staff member present.
Offer constructive feedback. If you have suggestions for improvement, please provide them directly and respectfully to the appropriate school authorities rather than to the students.
Maintain confidentiality. You should refrain from sharing sensitive information about the school, staff, or students that you may have access to as an alumnus.
