"From Physics and ICT to Engineering"
The TUE 2024 programme is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of various fields of engineering through lectures and laboratory visits organized by our six engineering departments. It aims to give students a glimpse into university life, the applications in engineering and inspire their interest in pursuing a career in engineering.

CUHK Science Academy for Young Talents - Summer Courses 2024
Established by the Faculty of Science, CUHK in 2010, Science Academy for Young Talent is dedicated to nurturing secondary school students who are talented in science by providing different enrichment courses. This summer the Academy is planning to offer 24 science courses, which are applicable for both junior form and senior form students.

HKUST Summer Institute
HKUST Summer Institute aims at providing an opportunity for high school students to experience learning and teaching at the Hong Kong University of Science & Technology (HKUST) and prepare them for future study. More than 5,100 senior secondary school students have participated in our Institute since 2012. We are eager to extend this inspiring and enjoyable summer experience to high school students who are interested in experiencing life at HKUST.
A wide range of credit-bearing courses are offered and delivered by the faculty members from the Schools of Science, Engineering, Business and Management, as well as Humanities and Social Science. In addition to learning new scopes of knowledge, students can broaden their perspectives, and develop their social and professional networks through our courses. The course credit earned can be counted towards students' undergraduate studies at HKUST in the future.

HKUST students will be teaching secondary schools’ students interesting topics in STEM, English and Business.
Date and time: 20 April (9:00am -5:30pm), 4 May (9:00am -5:30pm) **once sign up, students must attend both days of workshop, no late comers will be accepted**
A certificate will be issued for students who completed both days of workshop.
Target audience: S.2- S.4 students.
Participants will sign up on their own via the Google Form and arrange the transportation by themselves.
The event includes workshops, tour around HKUST campus, and visit to labs. Free light lunch will be included too.
Deadline for application is 5 April 2024 (Friday).
Places are limited and offered on a first-come-first serve basis.

This workshop will expose students to some fundamental science behind artificial intelligence (AI), focusing on the essential mathematical concepts in areas like computation, optimisation, and probability. Teachers in the Department of Mathematics with expertise in computational mathematics, scientific computing, optimisation, partial differential equations, machine learning, etc., will share some classical and modern approaches related to AI with the participants.

EdUHK Artificial Intelligence Literacy Programme
Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK) is pleased to extend an invitation to
students to enroll in free Artificial Intelligence Literacy programmes. These programmes are organized by the Artificial Intelligence and Digital Competency Education Centre (AIDCEC) and generously funded by the Li Ka Shing Foundation (LKSF). There are four class options for secondary school students. Option 1A and Option 1A & 1B are for S6 students AI literacy, while Option 2 is for S4 and S5 for AI literacy. Option 3 is for S3, S4, and S5 students for developing self-regulated learning ability for preparing DSE examination All students are welcome, no programming experience is needed. What’s more, thanks to the support from LKS foundation, all courses are free. The on-site class will be held at EdUHK's campus in Tai Po, which runs from 9:30am to 4:30pm. The other days are for Zoom meetings and independent study, without the need to return to EdUHK. The registration will close once the quota fulfills. The school consent form and the student list can be downloaded via the registration form.
HKUST School of Science
Science Laboratory Workshops (2024) (For S4-S5 Students)
Led by a team of undergraduate students under the supervision of faculty members from the School of Science, the workshops aim at providing learning experience in science disciplines in our well-equipped teaching facilities. Through interactive learning and interesting demonstrations, it helps strengthen secondary school students' concepts in science. Besides, undergraduate students will be on hand to share their learning experience at the HKUST. Secondary 4 to 5 students (or equivalent academic levels) are welcome to join.
The Chemistry, Mathematics, Ocean Science and Physics Workshops are suitable for secondary 4 to 5 students studying relevant science subjects. The Mathematics / Physics Workshop has a quota of 30; the Ocean Science Workshop has a quota of 40 whilst the Chemistry Workshop has a quota of 50. The medium of instruction is Cantonese. The two dates of workshops cover different topics, and participants can select one day.
The Human Genetics Workshop is designed for secondary 5 students studying Biology. This workshop has a quota of 25, and the medium of instruction is English. It spans two consecutive days, and participants are required to attend both days of the workshop.
Due to limited quota, enrollment is on selective basis. Applicants are required to write a short personal statement indicating why they are interested in the workshop. The statement should be within 100 words in English. Please submit it in the application form.
The registration should be completed by 31 Jan 2024 (Wed). A confirmation email with details will be sent to successful applicants by 23 Feb 2024 (Fri).
Recognition of Participation
In recognition of their participation, OEA bonus points will be awarded to S.5 students (for 2025 intake) and S.4 students (for 2026 intake), if the participants complete any one of the workshops, and keep one or more of the following programs as their JUPAS Band A choices:
