Aims of serving disabilities:

  1. Maintain their dignity

  2. Retain as much independence as possible

  3. Reduce the burden of caregiver

1. Investigate needs for service and used subject knowledge in helping the needy

  • Who is the target? -> why?

  • What difficulties/needs do they have in living?

  • What kind of skills/tools/knowledge/resources do we have/need?


Short Term:

  • Reflect on one’s strength and interest

  • Interview (target or care giver)

  • Shadowing clients as they go through their daily routine


Long Term:

  • Spend time with Client and their friends and family

  • Design thinking skills

  • Cards for brainstorming(who?+when?+what?)


2. Establish partners (NGO, cross curriculum)and Planning for the service

  • Why do we need their help? (Clients? Knowledge and experience?)

  • What is our role?(Participant? organizer? Liaison?)


Short Term:

  • Become volunteer in social service

  • Action Plan with resource list


Long Term:

  • Keep touch with social worker

  • List success criteria

3. Take action

  • What can I do about the issue?

  • How is the target beneficial from our service?


Short Term:

  • Prototyping

  • One-off service


Long Term:

  • Develop a common language with the service target

  • Regular service

4. Evaluation


Short Term:

  • Evaluation meeting

  • Collect feedback


Long Term:

  • Provide suggestion to the future plan

  • Give sharing (Presentation or exhibition)
