For each performance, classes will be assessed on the following criteria:

• Choice of repertoire (10 points)

  • song(s) with appropriate Christian messages

  • song(s) with appropriate difficulty level

• Musicality (40 points)

  • intonation

  • pitch accuracy

  • singing in the appropriate style(s)

  • performance directions (tempo, dynamics, etc.)

• Presentation (50 points)

  • expression of the core theme 

  • engagement

  • design (costume, props, etc.)

  • audience response / crowd appeal

  • accompaniment of live music with at least one musical instrument is highly encouraged and will be considered an advantage
