Hi I’m Pou Kendall!

I have two cats called Mabel who’s dark brown and called a tortoise shell and Pearl who’s grey and called a tabby… They are really fluffy and incredibly naughty!

I have no brothers or sisters but I have a cousin who is also an only child and we are only 3 months apart in age. We say that we’re the closest thing to having a sister.

My favourite food is a ham sandwich.

I was born in Scotland and I lived in Levin for the first four years of my life. Then I moved back to Scotland where I lived for the next 18 years. I then moved to America for two years and London for another two before moving back to New Zealand. 

I have been a teacher for almost 6 years now and 5 of those have been at Hiwinui. I have taught a range of year levels and love seeing kids realise their learning potential and become passionate about discovering the amazing world we live in.

This year is going to be amazing and we are going to have so much fun together!
