Welcome to our Year 9 Options for 2026.
The site contains course descriptions and links to examination boards offered for Key Stage 4. We hope that you will find the site informative and that it will help you to make important decisions about the next two years of your education. Our aim is to provide you with as much information as possible to support choosing your Key Stage 4 subjects.
Key dates
Friday 30th January 2026 - Year 9 Launch Assembley
January - March - Weekly Options/Careers Form Time activites taking place.
Tuesday 10th March 2026 - Year 9 Consultation Evening via School Cloud
Wednesday 18th March 2026 - Year 9 Options Evening 5.00pm - 6.30pm in The Pavillion at HBS.
There is a presentation in the Auditorium at 5.00pm which will be repeated at 5.30pm. Subject teachers will also be available on a drop in basis. This evening is for Parents and Students. Options Forms 'go live' and will be emailed to Students following the event.
Wednesday 25th March 2026 - Final submission date for option choices.
Late Summer term 2026 - Option choices confirmed to Students.
