Meet Our Team

I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies degree from the University of Texas at Arlington. I earned my Master of Education degree from Dallas Baptist University. After that I returned to Dallas Baptist to complete my Licensed Professional Counseling and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapy.I began my educational career in Arlington, TX as a 5th grade ESL teacher in 1999. I spent 7 years as a classroom teacher in Arlington and Mansfield. From there, I spent 6 years as a school counselor in Fort Worth. In 2014, I returned to my hometown of Longview and began my adventures at Hallsville High School. I feel blessed to be part of the Bobcat Family.
My husband Glen and I have been blessed with 3 biological daughters who are proud bobcat alumni, Jordan, Maegan, and Alyssa. All three are currently in college studying education and plan to continue the family tradition of educating and inspiring future generations! We have 4 adopted children, Felicia, Samuel, Abraham, and David. Each is doing tremendous things in their lives and supporting their communities in the DFW area and Austin. My family has always had a passion for helping people who are in need. One way our family feels called to help others is through foster care. One thing that we are good at is loving people! We feel fortunate that we can assist families that are working through life’s challenges until their family can be made whole again.
Hallsville High School is a home away from home to me. I have the privilege of coming a place each weekday that I love and surround myself with staff and students that inspire me to be better. I truly love serving the students, families, and staff at Hallsville High School.
I received a Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies degree from LeTourneau University in 2013. In 2018, I graduated with a Master of Arts in counseling/school counseling from LeTourneau University. I plan to continue my education in the future and return to school to obtain my doctorate in psychology. I am passionate about continuing education and I hope to foster a love of learning in every student I encounter.I have been with HISD since 2012. I started as a classroom assistant at the Intermediate campus, then moved to a 5th-grade teacher before transferring to the high school in 2017 as a counselor. I absolutely love working for HISD. The staff, students, and families of Hallsville make it such a wonderful community to be a part of!I have been married to my husband, Daniel for 18 years and we have three children. We are blessed that our children had the opportunity to grow up in Hallsville! We are proud to be a part of this school district and community.
I graduated from Hallsville High School in 2002, and I earned my B.S. in Human Development and Family Studies in 2007. I taught 4th grade for 8 years at Hallsville Intermediate School. I earned my M.A. in School Counseling in 2015 and served as Intermediate school counselor for three years before transferring to the high school. My husband and I have 3 boys that attend HISD. Our family is actively involved in FFA, Tennis, baseball, and Scouts. We are busy to say the least, but we wouldn't have it any other way!
I am committed to creating an open and safe environment for all who walk through the doors of Hallsville High School. It is my responsibility to treat all students, colleagues and parents with respect and confidentiality at all times. I will uphold the highest ethical and legal standards, as well as participate in professional development to keep up to date with best practices in school counseling. I am excited about this school year, and I look forward to helping students grow.

I am so excited to be the secretary to these amazing women!

I started teaching at Alpine Christian Academy teaching little ones for 8 years. I enjoyed teaching there and being a light to others, however I wanted to be with my personal children and missed seeing them, so I then changed jobs to a classroom assistant for Structed Learning at Hallsville High School. I absolutely loved working with Special Needs Students. I assisted with Structed Learning for 5 years and decided I needed a change so I am now the counselor’s secretary. I truly enjoy working for HISD and I’m excited to see what the future holds for HISD.

I have been married to my husband, Colton for 12 years and we have two beautiful daughters. We are blessed that our children have the opportunity to grow up in Hallsville! We are proud to be a part of this school district and community.
