The Student Success Center’s mission is to coordinate school, home, and community resources to help students manage behaviors that impact their academic success or put them at risk. The SSC Center purposely provides multiple interventions and supports that empower students in all components of their life in order to create a positive school environment. In addition, the Center offers ongoing support, goal setting and follow-up monitoring which includes, but are not limited to academic study time, executive functioning strategies, as well as conflict resolution, self-awareness and self-advocacy skills. Pop by room 258 to meet us!

In the event of remote learning/e-learning days, students can utilize the SSC for the following:

• Academic help (contacting teachers)
• Locating supplemental online materials to help scaffold lessons/content
• Help students manage their anxiety and manage their workload during remote learning

SEL Supports/Practices for Uncertain Times:

• Journal about what’s coming up for you
• Meditate and focus on your breath
• Consume news and content mindfully
• Remember what you can control
• Reach out to loved ones
• Channel emotions into creativity
