独中是成人成才的学府。今天独中教育得到社会普遍的肯定，来得非常不易，它是许多人长期奋斗，辛勤建设的成果；更是各界心血的结晶。

我校，兴华中学同人以“一定要把兴华办好，让华小毕业生有机会继续接受母语教育，替社会培养人才”的决心和宗旨，坚持教育必须与时并进，在过去数十年间，我校以群策群力和锲而不舍的精神努力不懈，致力于重建学校硬体设备及精进教书育人工作，并通过董、家、教、校友、学生的努力和社会各界的鼎力支持，奠下兴华中学成为一所现代化中学的基础。

教育将改变孩子一生的命运。

为了落实“独中属于全体华社”的初衷，我校自上世纪七十年代以来，便成立《清寒子弟助学金》以协助经济困难的家庭把孩子送进独中。近年来，为了补足助学金的不敷，学校必须从各种途径筹措经费。

基于永续经营的理念，也为了满足更多家境清寒家庭对助学金的需要，我校决定举办义卖娱乐市筹募助学金，期望汇聚众人的力量助学，以便协助家境欠佳而又有能力和意志向学的学生顺利完成学业。

与此同时，我校也深信，学生在参与义卖娱乐市筹款活动的过程中必有所收获；通过社会实践，身体力行培养沟通与办事能力，且有助于增强对生活的体悟与自我教育；而这正是时下青少年最需要的 21 世纪关键素养之一。

Chinese Independent Schools are education institutions where learners shape their character and develop their abilities. Today, Chinese Independent Schools have received much recognition and confidence from the public. This is the fruit of a concerted effort from various parties.

At Hin Hua High School, we aim to provide the primary school graduates with the opportunity to continue their secondary education in their mother language to produce good citizens. To remain competitive and relevant in education, we strive to reconstruct school facilities and elevate the quality of teaching and nurturing the younger generation. With the combined effort and support from the board, parents, teachers, alumni and students, as well as the general public, we have laid a strong foundation in developing Hin Hua High School into a modernised school.

Education can change the life of any given individual.

Since the 1970s, the school has set up a study grant for needy students so that families with lower income could send their children to a Chinese Independent School. In recent years, the school has to raise more funds from various sources to cope with the increasing demand.

To raise funds for the sustainability of the study grant, we have decided to organise a food and fun fair this year. We hope that with the combined effort from the public, more needy and diligent students could benefit from the scheme to complete their studies.

At the same time, we strongly believe that through participation in this event, our students are given the opportunities to mingle and engage in exchanges with the public, as well as to develop communicative and executing skills, which helps to develop the core competencies of the 21st century.

Little drops of water make a mighty ocean.

We sincerely hope that the 2024 Food and Fun Fair will garner the approval and support of the public in order for more needy students to receive financial assistance.
