The Notable American Project

Our country, the United States of America, has grown in strength from the time of exploration to the present because of the talent and dedication of many Notable Americans.  The Notable American project involves first reading a biography about the life of one Notable American who you feel is an example of greatness, and has contributed to the story of our nation in a powerful and positive way. Next, you will take the information you’ve learned and draft a report on your Notable American as a biography. Finally, you will act as an expert on your Notable American and present their “life story," complete with three artifacts that represents their lifetime.

Browse the slideshow to see examples of artifacts and props. These examples may inspire your artifacts! Note: For 2023-2024, students will not be wearing costumes, but will dress professionally and bring in their three artifacts for the presentation.
