About The Teacher

Joann Bellis has been teaching beginning band in Hingham since 2011. She holds a Masters in Music Education from Gordon College and a BA in Music from Boston University.

In her free time, she enjoys hiking, soccer, reading, cycling, running, and spending time with friends and family. She became a teacher because her own teachers inspired her to want to make the world a better place. She believes deeply in the power of the arts to connect people, to give individuals voice, and to create beauty and opportunity for self-expression.
