Hindi Gurukul

We offer Hindi reading, writing and speaking courses for kids. Our classes are group classes, typical class size of 15 students. The classes aim to prepare students to acquire proficiency in all four formats of language Reading, writing, listening, speaking. In all we offer 6 levels of curriculum.

Schedule

Our classes are held every second and fourth Sunday from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Our session starts on second Sunday of September and runs till fourth Sunday of May. Our session sign ups start in Spring and go till fall.

Eligibility

Ages 5 and above

Class Placement

Participants are placed in appropriate classes based on their language proficiency and age. We hold a final exam in May based on which participants advance to the next level.

Assessment

At the end of 6-year curriculum, the students take AAPPL test (a third-party assessment of their proficiency) which prepares them to get a seal of biliteracy on their high school transcripts subject to school district rules.

Location

We will offer our classes virtually during COVId-19 social distancing restrictions. In person classes will be held at Still Middle School, Aurora IL (787 Meadowridge Dr, Aurora IL 60504) once the school district resumes building rentals.
