That's enough!

I like to focus on a continuous improvement model, meaning each and every day we can all take simple steps in the right direction to reach our goals. Over time, we find ourselves at the top of the mountain which first looked impossible to climb.

This year I have tried to add more fun into our classes. We have a fun writing activity every Friday based on the card game "SuperFight." Ask your student about it.

I have also incorporated a new grammar program called "Mechanic Instruction that Sticks." Although it is an intensive program, we are taking it slow, with no pressure, so that learning can occur without the stress of tests.

Most of all, I am happy to be here. There is no place like Hilmar. I have been teaching here for just under twenty years. I appreciate the district focus on relationships. I feel blessed to have these students in my classes. They are my students for a reason. Sometimes that reason is obvious, sometimes not so obvious, but we are all here to learn and grow together.
