Working in public service has always been a passion of mine. I am proud to call the Hilmar community my hometown and to have graduated from Hilmar High School --one of the most unique, tight knit schools I’ve ever experienced. The support and education I received here allowed my journey in education to continue to Modesto Junior College and on to California State University Long Beach. I ultimately received my Bachelors in Organizational Communications from CSU Stanislaus with a minor in journalism and a concentration in marketing.
My first career after college led me to the private sector as an insurance and investment agent with Northwestern Mutual. In 2005 I was married and started my wonderful family which brought me to the educational field in 2006 as I adjusted our lifestyle for a growing family. I returned to school and received my teaching credential in English. After eight years in the classroom working with at-risk youth in Ceres, I received my administrative credential and my master in Public Administration and then continued my career in administration working in Modesto.
In 2015, I returned to the GREEN & GOLD alma mater and began my tenure in the Assistant Principal role. This year begins my sixth year in this special little town. Daily I am thankful, humbled, and honored to serve the community of Hilmar.
My husband, Greg Brewer and I have been committed members of this community and married 15 years. We started our family in Hilmar and couldn’t be more proud of our blossoming young girls Lilly and Saige who currently attend Elim and Hilmar Middle Schools. ~ Once a YellowJacket, Always a YellowJacket!

In high school I knew I wanted to be a teacher but it seemed like a fantasy. I wasn't even sure if college was going to be for me. I planned on following my other passions of being a welder or a mechanic. After High school I went to work on a dairy and quickly gained respect for our communities physical laborers. I began taking some college courses but was not ready to focus on my future. It was then that I started my first career at Pacific Bell Wireless and worked my way up from customer service rep to wireless technical support and then eventually to team manager. It was during this time that I remembered my love for teaching as I worked to train my team members. In 2004 my father was diagnosed with cancer. This was a wake up call as I realized how short life was and that if I wanted to fulfill my dreams I needed to get started. I went back to school with a renewed focus. I worked quickly to complete my associates degree from Merced College and then transferred to CSU Stanislaus. While attending college I began my first job in education as a part time Campus Supervisor and Track and Field coach.
I have been in education for 15 years with time spent as a campus supervisor, 7th grade world history and computer teacher, 9th grade health and geography teacher, 10th grade world history teacher and 12 grade economics/government and AP government. Athletics has always been an important part of my career with time spent coaching boys and girls soccer as well as track and field.
In 2013, after developing a passion for helping at risk youth, I began working towards my Masters Degree and Administrative Credential. In 2014 I completed my credential and began working as an Associate Principal for the Merced Union High School District. After 3 years as a site level administrator I moved to the district level and began overseeing a grant funded program and working closely with Special Education.
In 2019, I came to Hilmar High School. I have quickly realized that Hilmar is truly the gem of the Central Valley and am incredibly proud to serve this community.
