Greetings Hillside Families!

Due to the predicted weather conditions for tomorrow, January 23, 2026, and in the best interest of student and staff safety, Hillside School District 93 will be closed for in-person learning.

Students will receive instruction and services provided by their teachers and Service Providers (Speech, OT, PT, Social Work, Intervention) remotely utilizing Google Classroom.  Online instruction will begin at 8:45 am and end at 2:45 pm for students in grades Kindergarten to Eighth grade.  Pre-School students are to complete their personal packets of work that was sent home today!

Students are to use their district provided electronic device for eLearning and login using the link(s) that have been provided by their teacher(s).  During remote instruction, students will be REQUIRED to:

Log in to class (remotely) using their Chromebook by 8:40 a.m.  Attendance will be taken!

Have cameras ON during live (synchronous) instruction.

Follow the schedule provided and remain online with their teachers and or Service Providers until 12:00 p.m.

Lunch/Recess is from 12:00-1:00 pm.  (No Online presence or instruction during this time)

Work on assignments offline (asynchronously) from 1:00-2:45 pm.

If students need assistance or additional support during eLearning, teachers will share guidance directly and they can be contacted through Google Classroom.
