Danny has served as pastor of First Baptist Church since February 2010. Before that Danny served churches in Orange Texas and Silsbee Texas. Danny graduated from Oklahoma Baptist University in 1987 with a BA in History and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in 1992 with a Masters of Divinity. Danny has also completed several Doctor of Ministry seminars from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. Danny is married to Patty, and they have two adult daughters, Rachel and Abby. Danny’s best friend is his granddaughter Aria.
Danny is an avid fan of the Texas Rangers and likes the Dallas Cowboys. Danny enjoys cooking and has a fantasy of one day having his own cooking show on Food Network. Danny is a two-time finisher of the New York City Marathon, and also completed the Big D Marathon in Dallas.
Danny has a passion for teaching God’s Word. His desire is that every believer grow in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ and His Word, and that every believer exhibit that growth through love and service to others.
Austin has been on staff at FBC Hillsboro since the summer of 2016. Prior to Hillsboro, Austin served as Minister of Music at Skyline Baptist church in Killeen, Texas. He graduated from the University of Mary Hardin Baylor with a Bachelor of Music in Church Music and plans on furthering his education soon to attain a Masters of Arts in Worship Leadership degree. While at UMHB, Austin sang in three different college choirs and was privileged to student conduct the “University Singers” and “One Voice” with Orchestra his last semester.
Austin’s heart is to unite the body of Christ of all ages in worship, putting aside personal tastes in music to worship the One who gave us a song to sing.
Ben has been on staff as youth minister since August 2010. In October 2015 he also became the minister of discipleship. He married Kim in March of 2010 and now they are the proud parents of Samuel and Judah. Ben graduated from the College at Southwestern with a B.A. in Humanities. Ben is continuing his education at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary as he pursues an Advanced Masters of Divinity.
Ben’s heart is to love Jesus supremely and love the church like Jesus commanded. God has given Ben a special call to love students and their families. He demonstrates this love through partnering with parents in the discipleship of students. He also desires to see the church fulfill the Great Commission by making disciples. As the church makes disciples Ben desires to see church members growing in discipleship through corporate and individual worship, connecting with others in small groups, and finding their place of service in the church.
Jennifer has been serving at First Baptist since 2002 and was called into vocational ministry here in 2006. She is currently the Director of Preschool and Children’s Ministries and loves serving families and providing for the physical and spiritual needs of children of all ages. Jennifer is married to Glenn, and they have two children, Callie and Clay. They actively serve FBC together in many ministries of the church.
Jennifer has a personal testimony of transformation that comes through faithful study of God’s word through a small group and has a deep commitment to getting the members of the Body connected with one another through study, service and prayer. She loves to build relationships that allow her to share and demonstrate the love of Christ and values being able to worship the Lord on a regular basis with her church family.
