If a student misses class, it is IMPERATIVE for him/her to make up missed work AS SOON AS POSSIBLE, preferably before the next class. Many lessons build upon each other, so if a student misses class, he/she will more than likely be behind when they return.
All assignments are posted on Google Classroom. The majority of class work can be completed online. If it can not be completed online (paper worksheet, student needs help, etc), students should come in before or after school for assistance.
I am available before school from 7:30-7:55 a.m. on weeks that I do not have morning duty. Most days, I am available after school until 3:25. Please check the Before/After School Help Calendar to make sure I will be available (in case of doctor's appointments, etc.). If you need to stay longer, please arrange with me ahead of time. If I have an emergency and won't be available before school, I will send an announcement through Remind, so please make sure you are signed up to receive reminders.
Remind is my main method of communication with students and parents. I recommend downloading the Remind app if you have a smartphone. The app allows you to have all your classes in one place instead of receiving text messages from up to 7 different teachers!
In addition to important announcements, you can message me through the app (and I can message you).
You may also call me through Remind. I am available to receive calls during my planning period (10:00-10:55) and after school until 3:15 p.m. I am available before school starting at 7:30 a.m.; however, I have morning duty every other week or I may be in a meeting during that time and unable to answer. If I do not answer, please leave a message and I will return your call as soon as I can.
Instructions for signing up based on your class are below:
