About Me

My name is Claire Jordan and I am SO ecstatic to be your

Hillcrest Christian School Counselor!

I grew up in the Jackson-metro area and obtained my bachelor's and master's degree from Mississippi State University! GO DAWGS. You can usually find me outside walking and enjoying the sunshine with my husband, family, and friends!

My favorite thing about counseling is working one-on-one with students to help them reach their goals and overcome obstacles. I believe school is not only a place to learn academic knowledge but also a place of personal, relational, and social growth. I am passionate about walking through this growth with students and encouraging them.

Guiding Scripture

I am confident that in my life, The Lord's plan has been better than my own. A constant lesson I am learning is how much greater He is and all my life is for His glory. I have no doubt The Lord brought me to Hillcrest and I know serving this school is His calling for me. My life verse for the past few years has been 2 Corinthians 12:9-10. This verse so gently reminds me that I am nothing without Christ. While I may be weak and inadequate, it is in my weakness that His strength and glory is revealed.

^"9 But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. ¹⁰ That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong."

I am thankful to work at a school whose mission is not only to educate but to share the gospel and to build God's Kingdom!
