What is are Project Structures?

Project Structures are tools for projects in your room! They are ideas, structures, and routines that teachers can facilitate in their classrooms.

Project Structures are divided into easy-to-follow sections that include descriptions, logistics, and helpful advice. Each Snack begins with a title, a byline on why you might use this snack, and a description of the snack itself. Other sections include logistics, helpful tips, considerations for different learners, or benefits and challenges of the snack. Most Project Structures have all the information you need to start implementing them with your students.

What grades are these Project Structures designed for?

These Project Structures were designed with elementary-aged students in mind. That said, the ideas, structures, and routines that suit elementary students can easily be scaled to be used with middle and high-school students.

Who developed Project Snacks?

The original Project Snacks were written by Julia Jacobsen and Riley Meehan as part of a grant through the Rogers Foundation and in collaboration with Tufts University. The Project Snack library will continue to grow as we get submissions from educators.

I have a Project Structure I want to share! How do I submit it?

Can I print Project Structures?

Yes! They are all written in Google Docs so that they easily be printed or copied and edited.
