My Humanities classroom:
In the first semester of freshman year, the main questions we were answering were, "Who decides what we eat?" and "How do large food companies influence what foods are available and affordable?" This means our projects all incorporated the topic of Food in our classes. We researched our question really well, which involved making posters, reading books, researching online, and other project work. Click the link on the title to see what projects we did!
In the second semester of freshman year, the questions that guided our project were "How are journeys essential to our growth?" and "How can we share the stories of our life's journeys and the value we derive from them?" We explored these questions by going on numerous field trips to places such as Anza Borrego, Mission Trails, and the Orange County Ropes Course to learn about epic journeys in different groups of people and to find out how others define an Epic journey.
