Our tapestry process started off with us using just construction paper as our first draft then moved on to our first cloth draft which was a scene from Anza Borrego. Our second cloth was three different types of flowers. Our third draft was a part of the history of Anza Borrego. What I did was pottery from ancient Anza Borrego. For a final draft we were assigned a topic that we had to do for the final draft the topic that me and my partner got were Spanish settlers so we made a prototype of what it was going to look like on paper for our first draft then for a second draft we used pen instead of pencil and for a third draft we used construction paper to plan out where we want Fabric and we use marker the plan where we want our stitches to be. Then we used our template to make the final draft.
The tapestry writing where the thing we put underneath our tapestry which explains what the tapestry was about since me and my partners tapestry were Spanish settlers that's where we wrote about. it was split up into two parts my part explained why Spanish settlers went there which was a reliable overland route from New Spain to the California Coast it also explained who was the person that led people from New Spain to California that was Juan Bautista de Anza you would bring different types of people on his exhibitions through Anza borrego. And my partner expanded on how many people will bring and how it directly impacted the indigenous population.
