How can families support internship?

How can I support the internship program?

There are a number of ways families can support the internship program and we are open to any level of participation!

Perhaps the most important way you can help is to help us build up our network of mentors. If you know someone who is interested (or should be interested) in mentoring one of our interns please fill out this form!

If you have suggestions for how we can improve internships, are interested in volunteering your time, or have questions about the program please fill out this form and we will contact you :)

How can I support my child through internship?

As our students participate in their internships there are a number of ways you can support them. This can be as simple as asking them what phase of the program they are in or what project they are working on.

It might also include more concrete actions like providing transportation or signing a few documents to allow them to participate. It will hopefully also include attending their Presentation of Learning at the end of the program.

What documents do I need to sign?

In order for your student to participate in an internship we need to receive a signed copy of the "Internship Consent Form." This form asks you to provide contact information, medical authorization and information, and a waiver and release of liability. We also need students to complete their Internship Commitment Form.

The interns will also be responsible for completing their timesheet each week.
