My name is Max-Ryker Sparks Simpson, I love cats, and I'm currently in the 10th grade at High Tech Highschool. In my free time, I draw, Write stories, spend time with my friends, sometimes hike, play games, and work on leftover schoolwork.
Drawing and writing are my favorite activities, and I plan to major in art and writing for four years and get a writer's and/or artist's Graduate degree. I want to either have my minor in college be history or English.
My favorite activities in school are PE, art class, and humanities. I don't like math when I don't understand it and have mixed feelings about science.
These are some of the art pieces I worked on in 2022 (and 2023 freshman year)Â

Short Story: Metamorfosi
I originally had started working on this at around the second semester of 8th grade for an English assignment, but sadly I had a hard time trying to progress the story and didn't get to finish it in time for the dead line. I personally believe it's still a nice read, and the dialogue is nice for what I have written down currently. I've gotten a lot of feed back from people I know and I've been told it's a good read. I plan to start working on it again so I can hopefully finish it sometime in the near future. It only says it was a humanities boost assignment because I wanted to try and turn it in for boost points even though it had been a previous school project.
Pineapples and Rust
This was an attempted boost assignment I was doing in the first semester to bring up my humanities grade. I lost my determination for it when School work had started piling up more and more, so I was forced to abandon it for the time being. Even if it is just a little over a page, I still rather do like how I had written the story.
Lord Of Larve: Contest winning poem
A free-form poem I made to submit to a nationwide poetry contest. I wasn't among the top winners, which would've won a $5,000 scholarship, but I still won a spot in the book. The title of the book is American High School Poets Fall 2023. My page should be #72.
I made this poem thinking of a person who had suffered at the hand of abuse (I was thinking of a specific kind when making it, but it can still be left open to interpretation because im uncomfortable explaining it :3), who had later taken their own life at the end of the poem. They hurt themself and others they cared about for fear of being hurt again by others.Â
Out of all my poems, this is the one I am most proud of.
Haikus
Free form and Haikus are basically the only poetry forms I know how to do. I enjoy the simplistic and short mannerisms of them. It usually doesn't take me long to come up with an idea for a poem.
Random Poem
I wrote this for fun back when I was younger. I don't have much to share about this one. I just remember finding this in my alternative Gmail account in GDrive and barely remembering writing it.
