At the start of the year, we were assigned a partner to work with for the "Rube Goldberg machine" project. That partner would tell their partner a food story from their life, and it would be their partner's job to basically find a recipe, list the ingredients with images, and steps on how to make that dish from the story. After, we would transfer our digital recipe onto paper.
The "Partner Food Machine" project, aka the "Rube Goldberg Machine" project, was a project we had to do alongside the "Visual Food Recipe." Our "Rube Goldberg" machine was a chain reaction we had set up on the table; The different elements would represent the story that we told our partners, along with the story they told us.
The "Wicked Food" projects were a take on a book called "Wicked Arts Assignments". The book contained over 50+ art assignments from teachers all around the world. Our humanities teacher, Mr.Chet, made us pick one of 20 projects to decide to do, but with a twist, we had to tie it to the food lessons from humanities.
Along with the "Wicked Food" projects, we made wheels. You and four people picked one food (for me, chicken nuggets), and each of us did one part of the wheel. Four wheel segments, farm, transport, table, and money. After, we copy them onto a piece of wood and put them together to make one wheel.
For the "Physics Unpredictability Poster" project, you and 1 other partner pick one topic that could be both unpredictable and beautiful. Then, you and your partner have to make a poster debating your topic. After, we presented them and gave feedback to others, taking turns with your partner.
