Ni hao! Welcome to Mandarin Chinese class! I am Yang Zhang, Chinese teacher at Highland. Here is a brief introduction about me: I grew up in China and has been living in the U.S since 2008. I have a bachelor's in English and a Master's in linguistics. I started the Chinese program at Highland in 2009 and built it into a five year program. Students can start taking Chinese 1 at 8th grade, and go all the way to AP Chinese language and culture at 12th grade. Learning and teaching foreign language has always been my interest and passion. Feel free to reach out to me with any questions: yzhang@highlandschools.org
