OVERVIEW OF UNIT: The properties (behavior) of matter is determined by the elements they are made of and how they are arranged. Each element has unique characteristics and are organized on the Periodic Table of Elements according to their atomic structures and coordinating behaviors. As matter interacts structural changes occur, energy and matter are transferred, but not lost.
