December is a quiet time in the garden. A really cold month and the important thing is to keep the chickens fed and watered, so that they continue to keep healthy and lay eggs.

Garlic planted on Wednesday 8 November, to benefit from a couple of cold months.
In October and November, leaves were cleared to keep paths safe but gathering them to rot down can really help build a great environment for plants to grow in. Worms naturally build soil structure and drainage and they are often found working under fallen leaves.
