Kirkhill Primary School

About our school

Kirkhill Primary School is situated 7.8 miles from Inverness on the A862 road towards Beauly.  The schools catchment area covers Kirkhill, Inchmore, Lentran, Drumchardine, Cabrich, Knockbain, Bunchrew, Clunes and Newtonhill.

Our school is a busy, happy environment where we actively encourage home/school/community links.  It was opened in 1996 and we are fortunate to have excellent facilities, equipment and accommodation.  Our building consists of seven well equipped classrooms, a purpose built nursery for 3 and 4 year olds, a large hall which is equipped for PE lessons and school productions and a general purpose room.

The school is set in pleasant surroundings in the heart of the community.

We have achieved our Eco-Schools Green Flag.

We are a Silver Rights Respecting school, and we are currently working towards achieveing our Gold award.

We have achieved our Digital Schools Award. We are currently working towards our Digital Wellbeing Award.

P6 received a Social Enterprise Schools Award in June 2023, for their Enterprise, Happy Hampers.
