Alumni Band

10/7/2022 For Alumni Band we will play 3 selections, The Fight Song, Land of 1000 Dances, and Long Train in that order. We will play the fight song again at the end. We will meet at 5PM at the HS band room to enjoy a Cookout Meal. Please bring your own side if you want! If not, enjoy a meal on our volunteers and music boosters. We will march over to the stadium together at 6 PM. You are welcome to sit with us in the west end zone and play stand tunes with us if you like but that is not required. Please be at the West end zone on the track by 7 minutes left in the 2nd quarter. We will run through all of the pieces at that time. After the away band plays we will configure a block and march straight on to the field from the back field. The front line will march up to the numbers on the field. (12 steps off of front sideline) everyone else will keep equal spacing all around.

If you need to borrow an instrument there will be a $10.00 cleaning fee for a wind instruments/percussion instrument or guard/drill team equipment. Venmo: @marching_scots2022 Cash or check to Highland Music Boosters to reserve an instrument.

10/7/22 ALUMNI BAND/8TH GRADE NIGHT TIMELINE

12:50- HS Marching Band to band room

1:00- 1:20 Homecoming Ceremony Rehearsal - Turf (please run band portion 1st)

1:25- HS Band walk to MS

1:35- 8th Grade Band report to MS band room

1:45- 8th/HS March the MS Halls

1:50- All 8th Grade band travels to HS to march halls (retainment tool)

2:05- March HS halls

2:15- 8th grade travels back to MS to pick up belongings

2:25- 8th grade travels to HS in a group after buses pass

3:10- Be ready to rehearse/set up on turf (Alumni Show/Pregame/RED)

4:30- Travel back to HS (Please help push back FE not used for 9/24)

5:00- EAT! Meet Alumni!

5:30/5:45- Amy help alumni with instrument needs

6:00- Step off to parade to stadium (HS,8th Grade and Alumni)

6:20- Start Pregame (HS Band Only) Sideline entrance, FS, SSB (no Alma)

6:25- Homecoming Ceremony (Play Alma Mater 1000 Times) HS Band Only

6:55- Tunnel (HS Band Only)

7:00- Game Starts/8th Grade stays with HS the entire game. Alumni are welcome to sit in the stands and play tunes with us. We will have some flip folders available.

ALUMNI MEET AT WEST ENDZONE WITH 7 MINUTES LEFT IN THE 2ND QUARTER.

-Run through show with everyone on the track facing away from the field.

HALFTIME! FIGHT SONG, LAND OF 100 DANCES, LONG TRAIN, FIGHT SONG AGAIN.

3rd quarter off for concessions/restroom/etc. Bring some $.

4th quarter- back at 2 minutes before to play in between quarters.

March back to HS together after game. Pick up your student there.
