Warm greetings as 2024 draws to a close. We are looking back at our accomplishments and looking forward to our plans for the future. Above all, we are reflecting on our gratitude for our communities of students, friends, visitors,  collaborators, and volunteers. Wherever you fit among this list of people important to us, thank you for your role at Highland.

Our focus is on discovery, an invitation to explore history—of people, places, property, and the United States—and on the ways that understanding history can help us understand ourselves and shape the future.
