Welcome to Ms. Smith's website!
This will be my 14th year teaching at Highland.
I graduated high school from Richland Center High School and then attended Winona State University where I received my Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education and Health Education. I taught Elementary Physical Education in Shakopee, MN for 9 years and earned my Master's Degree in Sport and Exercise Science from the University of Minnesota. In 2011, we moved back home to Wisconsin to be closer to family and I was (and continue to be) extremely grateful for the opportunity to work at Highland Community Schools.
I currently live in Highland with my three children - Brody who is a junior at UW-Whitewater, Bennett who is a senior at Highland Highland High School and Bella who is a freshman at Highland High School. In my free time, I enjoy reading, spending time with family and watching my children participate in their extra-curricular activities.
This year I will be teaching Elementary Physical Education, High School/Middle School Health, and assisting with the Algebra 1 class. I am also the Student Council Advisor and National Honor Society Advisor.
