Guidance

Hello from the Guidance Office!! I am a Darlington native. I graduated from Darlington High School in 1995. I continued my education at UW-Platteville, receiving a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Psychology. Then it was off to the work force! I worked in the financial industry for almost 8 years. Looking for a more fulfilling career I began my graduate work at UW-Platteville in Counselor Education in 2004. Obtaining my Master's in Counselor Education in 2008 was a tremendous accomplishment for me and is something I am very proud of.

I began my career as a school counselor with a one year position in the Sauk Prairie School District. I was one of two counselors in the Middle School. Like many, Middle Schoolers frightened me at first, but I grew to love them and all their complexities. My second year I had the pleasure of becoming a High School Counselor at Prairie Du Chien High School. Because of the long drive to Prairie du Chien from my home I was excited to have the opportunity to become the counselor at Highland. Therefore, in 2010 I came to the Highland School District and am the K-12 School Counselor.

I feel so lucky to experience students of all ages at Highland School District. My door is always open to not only our students but also to parents and community members.
