Welcome!

Greeting, Cardinals! After a one year hiatus, I’m thrilled to announce I’m coming back to Cardinal Country. I’ll be joining the Highland Community Schools team in the newly created Dean of Students position. I’m excited to be returning to a culture of committed students, an extremely dedicated staff, and a supportive school community. My absence over the past year has made me appreciate just how special working in the Highland community is; and something I do not take for granted upon my return.

On a more personal note, for those who I may not have connected with yet, I live in Barneveld with my husband (Aaron) and two kids. Aurora will be a freshman this year and loves sports, hanging out with friends, mani/pedi dates, and concerts. Hanklin is almost 2 and enjoys any thrill seeking activity that will give mom a heart attack. He also loves animals, construction vehicles, and playing outside. As a family we enjoy traveling, trying new recipes, and cheering for Wisconsin teams in various sports.

I view education as a life-long process and plan to continue mine within the halls of Highland Community Schools. The expertise among the staff is inspiring; I can’t wait to tap into the wealth of knowledge our staff holds to find new and creative ways to serve students. It is my belief that students should be at the center of all school-related decisions. To be a steward of that stance, it will be of utmost importance to connect with families of all ages, so feel free to introduce yourself or stop in to say “Hi” as the school year kicks off.
