Greetings!
My name is Becky (Pink) Aide and I am the 3K-12 choral and general music teacher for the Highland School District! It brings me great joy to make music with students. In fact, music has always been a passion of mine which is why I thoroughly enjoy educating students about all areas of music!
I am delighted to get to know more about my each and every one of you! First, I would like to let you know a little bit about me. I am a Highland Alumni, as I graduated in 2015. From there, I headed to Clarke University in Dubuque, Iowa to pursue a degree in physical therapy. However, after the first few days of class, I knew right away that career was not for me as I missed making music. After one year at Clarke, I transferred to UW-Platteville for choral and general music education. During my studies, I was fortunate to travel to Germany, Czech Republic, Canada, and England to sing on tour with the collegiate choir. These were fantastic opportunities in which I will be forever grateful. I have also visited New York City and was fortunate to see two shows on Broadway!
This summer was an exciting one as I got married! It was the best day! We went to Hawaii on our honeymoon. It was wonderful!
Aside from music making, I enjoy spending time with my husband, family, and friends, exploring coffee shops, and soaking up the sun! Fun fact, I have a dozen farm cats! If you see me out and about feel free to say hi!
