Happy New Year High Cross Families! We hope you all had an enjoyable break. It has been wonderful to welcome the children back to school. Everyone has settled into routines well and are demonstrating a very enthusiastic attitude towards their learning. We started the week with a whole school assembly, which was lovely to have everyone together. We have also launched our whole school value of the month for January which is 'Happiness'. We have a very exciting term planned ahead for our fantastic High Cross children and look forward to continuing our learning journeys together. Thank you parents/ carers for your continued support. 'Together we grow and shine!'.
Bobl bach! This week, Seren a Sbarc joined our Criw Cymraeg assembly. The Criw Cymraeg did a job bendigedig presenting our Siarter iaith focus. They were eager to revive our Antur Seren a Sbarc, Seren and Sbarc advenutres. Seren a Sbarc are our Welsh mascots and love to go on adventures. We have beautiful mini mascots ready to be shared. They have a bag and a scrap book. They will spend this half term with Blywddyn 2 and Blwyddyn 4 Miss Gregory. Each week the teacher will chose a child to spend the week with. They love to hear Welsh and if you can please add photos to our scrap book. There is a prompt sheet to help if you would like to have a go at writing. Mrs Richardson has made a start. Mwynhau amser antur Seren a Sbarc. Enjoy Seren and Sbarc adventure time!
It was great on Thursday to welcome parents/ carers to our first 'Cuppa and Chat' of the New Year. Thank you to everyone who attended. The open sessions are aimed at a safe space to chat through any queries around additional learning needs your child maybe experiencing, providing help and support; signposting you to support services that maybe available. We look forward to seeing you at our next one.
