Google Meet Etiquette (How to act)

THE MEETIQUETTE GUIDE ONLINE LEARNING ETIQUETTE 101 GET ON EARLY! You never know if you might run into technical difficulties, so always get online a few minutes early just in case. For our remote learning always start at your teacher's Google Classroom page., then join the Google Meet for that day. DRESS THE PART Yes, you're online but it's still school. Be sure you are wearing clothing that you know is appropriate for school. Also, pick an appropriate location. A bedroom or bathroom is never appropriate. So, find a spot in the family room or, on a nice day, set up outside! MUTE YOURSELF! Just like a face-to-face class, too much talking can be a distraction. So, unless you have an important question or the teacher has asked you to speak, keep your mic muted. The Google Meet mute button can be found by hovering over the bottom of the screen. And, if possible, use headphones! INTERACT APPROPRIATELY Teaching and learning online is productive, but it is different. Interact appropriately by giving your teacher non-verbal cues like nodding your head or raising your hand. You can also use the chat area to ask questions without interrupting. SMILE! YOU'RE ON CAMERA! Don't forget that, in order to help students who might be unable to meet live, all of our sessions will be recorded. So, be sure to smile for the camera! Your classmates (and your teacher) will appreciate it! The Google Meet website can be found at meet.google.com
