Hico Elementary has an active Parent Teacher Organization (PTO). This nonprofit group is comprised of parents, teachers, and staff dedicated to encouraging interaction between family and school.
The PTO organizes special fundraising events like this year's Homecoming Mum Making Party and upcoming Mother-Son Kickball Night.
With those funds we give back to the students, teachers, parents, and staff.

Here are a few things we do to give back:
- Provide funding for teacher grants every 9 weeks
- Stock the teacher's lounge with goodies
- Celebrate teachers during teacher appreciation week
- We organize events for parents & students
- Assist and help fund "end of the year" awards
