SCHOOL BOARD ELECTION INFORMATION
Members of the School Board are elected for three-year terms. Annual elections are held the first Saturday in May. Board members are elected during the first board meeting following the election.
Upcoming Election
The next School Board Election will be on May 2, 2026.
The deadline for a place on the election ballot is February 13, 2026.

Applications for a place on the Hico Independent School District General Election Ballot may be filed beginning January 14, 2026 and ending at 5:00 p.m. on February 13, 2026.
Persons interested in running for School Board may obtain a candidate application packet here or from the superintendent’s office beginning Wednesday, January 14, 2026.
If interested, please drop off your completed packet in the superintendent’s office during the filing period.
