Welcome to the 2019-2020 school year. I am so excited to work with all my students and provide them with a plethora of knowledge and a variety of strategies! I will be servicing students K-5 in reading as well as 3rd and 5th grade math AIS. Students are benchmarked to determine their instructional reading level according to the Fountas and Pinnell Benchmark System. We then use the Leveled Literacy Program (LLI) to work on the 5 components of reading: Phonological Awareness, Phonics, Vocabulary, Fluency and Comprehension. Students are monitored daily and moved forward through the program as progress is made. Go Math interventions and hands-on manipulatives are used to help students improve in math. Our goal is to create independent and lifelong learners .
