PUBLIC HEARING ON THE DISTRICT-WIDE SAFETY PLAN

Public Hearing Begins - 7:30 PM

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Board of Education of the Hicksville Union Free School District will hold a Public Hearing on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, at 7:30 PM at the Administration Building, located at 200 Division Avenue, Hicksville, NY 11801.

The purpose of the hearing is to accept public comment on the proposed Hicksville Public Schools District-Wide School Safety Plan for the 2026–2027 school year, pursuant to Section 2801-a of the New York State Education Law and Section 155.17 of the Regulations of the Commissioner of Education. 

Copies of the proposed District-Wide School Safety Plan are available for public review on the District website at www.hicksvillepublicschools.org and in the Office of the District Clerk at the Administration Building, Monday through Friday, between the hours of 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM. 

All interested residents, parents, staff, and community members are invited to attend and will be given an opportunity to present comments or ask questions regarding the plan. Written comments may also be submitted to the District Clerk prior to the close of the public hearing on August 19, 2026.
