A Tornado taking MATH by storm since 2020!
"Be greater than average"
Weekly SHOUT OUTS!
Our testing week begins on Friday, May 24th and runs through the following Friday, May 31st. Our testing days are not sorted by subject, but instead by class period. I have shared the schedule below:
Friday, May 24th - 1st Period Exams
Monday, May 27th - No School for Memorial Day
Tuesday, May 28th - 2nd Period Exams
Wednesday, May 29th - 3rd Period Exams
Thursday, May 30th - 4th Period Exams
Friday, May 31st - Makeup Testing Day / Last Day of School with Early Dismissal
Please remember that for each testing day, students will need handwritten parent notes giving them permission to leave early once testing in the school is completed. Without a note, they will need to wait in the gym until our regular 2:30 dismissal. Additionally, while the 31st is our makeup testing day, we strongly discourage students from using this day if possible because some state exams can take up to four hours to complete and if we already have an early dismissal then there is always the risk a student will not finish their exam in time. Teacher-made exams typically are shorter.

about me
In October 2019, I moved to NC from a northern suburb of Chicago. I currently live in Conover with my husband of 29 years. I have a daughter who graduated from George Washington University Law School in 2023 and a son who graduated from Appalachian State University in 2023. I am originally from NJ, but have lived and taught in NJ, CT, and IL. I earned both a BA in Mathematics/Secondary Education and a MEd in Educational Leadership from The College of New Jersey. I played college basketball and LOVE the game! In my free time I like to run, read, cook and watch sports. My favorite teams are DUKE men's basketball, Philadelphia Eagles and Philadelphia Phillies. During my years of teaching mathematics my focus has been to support and grow the love of learning by establishing relationships with my students. I look forward to getting to know you and showing you how AWESOME math can be!
