GRANDVIEW MIddle SChool

Greetings,

I am very grateful for the opportunity to work in the EC program at Grandview Middle School. I enjoy working with all students, especially students with special needs. I have had the privilege of teaching 30+ years, and am still going strong. I earned my B.S. degree in Special Education K-12 from Appalachian State University. Years later I earned my M.Ed with a concentration in Special Education from Western Carolina University. I have had the opportunity to work in various settings including Dorothea Dix State Hospital, Eckerd Wilderness Therapeutic Camping Program, Western Youth Correctional Facility, and with the Newport-Mesa Unified School District in California. All positions in which I have served have been challenging as well as very rewarding. Currently I am providing EC services through inclusion and resource classes with HPS.

I greatly enjoy the outdoors hiking, swimming, walking, riding bikes. I also enjoy reading, (Sandra Brown, James Patterson, Tom Clancy).
