I have a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineer from "Universidad Militar Nueva Granada" in Colombia, and now I am enrolled in High Point University in order to get my Spanish Teacher Certificate.
I am so happy to be here in the HHS with the students and to have the opportunity to share my culture and the importance to learn a second language not just to communicate with people but to know how to increase the cognitive abilities to be bilingual aswell.
Soy graduado de Ingeniería Civil en la Universidad Militar Nueva Granada en Colombia y ahora estoy realizando estudios en High Point University con el fin de obtener mi certificado de profesor de español.
Estoy muy feliz de estar aquí en HHS con los estudiantes y tener la oportunidad de compartir mi cultura y la importancia de aprender un segundo idioma no solo para comunicarse con la gente, sino también para saber cómo aumentan las habilidades cognitivas al ser bilingüe.

Nowadays, the world requires bilingual people able to communicate through cultures. Learning a new language is fun and beneficial to your self-esteem and mental health. You could speak like a native speaker or not, but what matters is that you feel good about yourself and are intelligible.
