Check out the opportunities for summer enrichment in the Hickory area as well as at North Carolina colleges and Universities! These are great experiences for your student to find peers with similar interests.
The Jack Kent Cooke Foundation is an awesome organization the provides scholarships for students. They have a Young Scholars Program in which they look for students with high ability to help them reach their full academic potential. The application period is February -April. They provide opportunities for summer camps, study abroad, and support during the school year. The selection process occurs in 7th grade and the program begins in 8th grade Students receive the support through 12th grade. It's a great opportunity!
