One study has found that kindergarten children who were read to at least three times a week had a "significantly greater phonemic awareness than did children who were read to less often". Reading for 15-20 minutes everyday will help your child in a variety of ways. It doesn't even have to be you reading to them below I've listed some great read alouds that your child will enjoy.
