An end-of-topic test assesses the content of an 'external' standard that will examined in November during the NCEA exams. It give the teacher and the students and indication of how well the content has been learnt.

All three Internal assessments are completed in class - the final grade for this standard is based on this assessment. Students have normally been prepared well for the assessment during lessons. The only requirements are that they are actually in school on these days and read over their notes the night before/during the assessment.
