The Hasbrouck Heights Junior Police Auxiliary is one of the longest-running programs of its kind. It is the only one (to our knowledge) that benefits from a full partnership between the police department and school system. More than 1,000 recruits have graduated our program, with several serving in federal, state, county, municipal, and military law enforcement agencies across the country.

Over the years this program has been featured in print and on television including Classroom Close-up NJ, NJ COPS magazine,  School Leader magazine, and The Record. It has been recognized by the NJ School Boards Association, New Jersey Education Association, and the New Jersey Regional Community Policing Institute.

This year's Junior Police Academy will run from June 25 - July 1, 2025 (5 days).

Recruits will report to Hasbrouck Heights Police Headquarters each day by 8:45 a.m. in a clean uniform. The day will begin at 9:00 am. 

On Day 2, Recruits must report at 7:45 a.m. due to an early departure for one of our trips.

Recruits must bring a lunch that does not have to be refrigerated each day.

There is NO COST to participate.
