Student Body
With a large student body of 54 classes and 1,887 students in total, admission to the school is still highly competitive. In the past, the lowest admission score for regular students in the senior high school entrance exams (Comprehensive Assessment Program, CAP) was in the 95th percentile nationally.
Curriculum
The mandatory courses are respectively Chinese, English, Civics, History, Geography, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Earth Science, Music, Art and Life, Design and Technology, Physical Education, Introduction to Information Technology, All-out Defense Education, Nursing and Home Care, Life Education, and Career and Life Planning.
At the end of grade 10, students select one out of two groups to study in the next two years; Group I (Humanities & Social Sciences) places a heavy emphasis on literature and social studies, while the science curriculum of Group II (Science, Engineering, Medicine& Biology) consists of more rigorous science and biology courses.

Grading
GPA is computed corresponding to the chart below, and all subjects are included in the computation. The minimum passing score is C, and all grades are weighted corresponding to the number of credits for each subject.

Standardized Test Results
In General Scholastic Ability Test (GSAT), organized by College Entrance Examinations Center (CEEC), 1.4% of the graduating class scored in the top 1%, and 35% scored in the top 12.5% nationally. Each year, about 130,000 graduating students from high schools nationwide take GSAT.
Post High School Placement
100% of the 2021 class went on to higher education. 1.5% went on to universities overseas.
The campus is located in the downtown Hsinchu City, possessing the rich resources of culture and technology.
All the graduates successfully enroll in universities, about 60% admitted into national ones.
